Advait Battery Ecosystem signs Master Supply Agreement with HiTHIUM for up to 1 GWh of LFP prismatic cells

Advait Battery Ecosystem Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of BSE‑ and NSE‑listed Advait Energy Transitions Ltd, has concluded a Master Supply Agreement (MSA) with global energy‑storage manufacturer HiTHIUM for lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery cells.

Under the terms of the MSA, HiTHIUM will supply up to 1 GWh of 314 Ah LFP prismatic cells over the next 12 months. The cell offtake will back Advait’s planned 2.5 GWh annual‑capacity cell‑to‑container battery energy storage system (BESS) assembly facility located in Gangad, Gujarat.

The incoming cells will feed Advait’s domestic BESS manufacturing operations covering module and pack assembly, container integration and system commissioning. Once commercially operational soon, the Gangad plant will serve utility‑scale, commercial‑and‑industrial (C&I) BESS deployments as well as renewable‑energy grid‑integration projects across India.

“This partnership with HiTHIUM reflects our belief in partnering with the best: the best cell technology, the best quality and the best service available in the market today,” commented Bhushan Shahane, Chief Operating Officer of Advait Battery Ecosystem. “As we scale our 2.5 GWh BESS assembly capacity, a dependable, world‑class cell supply chain is central to our ability to deliver cost‑optimised, high‑performance energy storage solutions to customers across India.”

The agreement positions HiTHIUM as a key cell‑supply partner for Advait’s domestic manufacturing expansion and guarantees large‑volume access to LFP cells ahead of the Gangad facility’s commercial launch.

This forms a core part of Advait’s strategy to build a fully integrated local BESS supply chain via strategic technology partnerships.

Beyond cell procurement, Advait Battery Ecosystem has sealed a separate strategic collaboration with Adaptive Engineering to gain capabilities in engineering design, energy management system (EMS) architecture, PLC/SCADA implementation and system integration. Combined with the HiTHIUM MSA, Advait is building end‑to‑end in‑house strengths spanning cell sourcing, module‑pack assembly, container integration, EMS and system commissioning.

HiTHIUM is recognised as a BloombergNEF Tier 1 global energy‑storage manufacturer, providing LFP cells and complete storage solutions for utility‑scale, C&I and residential applications.

Parent listed entity Advait Energy Transitions is diversifying its portfolio across BESS manufacturing, green hydrogen, electrolyser and fuel‑cell production, plus clean‑energy EPC services.
