Sungrow has achieved grid‑connection for its 200 MW/400 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Hefei, Anhui Province, deploying the company’s PowerTitan 3.0 solution. According to Sungrow, the project was completed within 17 days.

The rapid delivery was enabled by Sungrow’s full‑chain intelligent delivery platform, which digitalizes end‑to‑end workflows covering order placement, manufacturing, logistics, commissioning and O&M. Factory pre‑installation and pre‑commissioning paired with automated self‑configuration and self‑check functions cut grid‑connection commissioning time from over 10 days to roughly one hour, achieving first‑attempt successful grid‑connection. All performance figures are provided by Sungrow and have not been independently verified by the project owner or grid operator.

PowerTitan 3.0 adopts 600+ Ah stacked lithium‑iron‑phosphate cells. Sungrow states this architecture lowers internal resistance and mitigates thermal‑stress risks compared with conventional wound‑type cells.

For thermal management, the site leverages Bionic Thermal Balance 2.0, supporting independent cooling control at container level. The system maintains thermal deviation within approximately 1 °C and delivers a 10% reduction in operational energy consumption. Sungrow has not disclosed underlying control algorithms, sensor architecture or relevant testing protocols.

Per S&P Global data, Sungrow secured the No.1 global ranking for PV inverter shipments in 2025, marking its fifth consecutive year at the top of the global league table.
