Lineage Power Private Limited, a key subsidiary of Pace Digitek, has signed a framework cooperation agreement with Chinese lithium‑ion battery manufacturer Rongjie Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (RJE Tech), securing 4 GWh of lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) battery cell supply for delivery in 2027.

This new framework builds on the Master Supply Agreement (MSA) concluded in June 2026 for 3 GWh of 314Ah LFP cells. The updated deal raises total planned supply volume and broadens the product scope to cover both 314Ah and next‑generation 588Ah prismatic LFP cells. The battery products will serve utility‑scale as well as commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage system deployments across India.

RJE Tech’s 588Ah large‑format cell delivers improved energy density and reduced system‑level costs for large‑scale energy‑storage projects. Founded June 29, 2022, RJE Tech falls under Youngy Group. Backed by approximately USD 2.8 billion investment for the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area base, its planned complex spans 26.67 hectares with 530,000 square‑metre construction space. Targeted annual capacity stands at 35 GWh for battery cells and 20 GWh for modules and packs.

For RJE Tech, the framework opens export outlets for its growing cell manufacturing footprint and solidifies market presence within India’s fast‑expanding energy‑storage sector. For Lineage Power, the partnership reinforces supply‑chain stability, grants access to advanced cell technology including the 588Ah product, establishes long‑term pricing terms, and optimises logistics supported by the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area industrial hub.

The 4 GWh cell supply will underpin renewable energy integration, grid stability and peak‑load management for India’s utility‑scale and behind‑the‑meter storage projects. India’s energy‑storage market is being driven by the national 500 GW renewable capacity target for 2030, rising grid‑reliability requirements, growing C&I storage demand, plus government incentives for domestic manufacturing and energy‑storage adoption. The cooperation highlights deepening industrial ties between China’s battery manufacturing base and India’s rapidly growing energy‑storage project pipeline.
