Leading Chinese photovoltaic manufacturer JA Solar unveiled its official global rebranding, shortening its corporate brand name to JA, marking a strategic transformation from a pure solar module producer to an all-round integrated green energy ecosystem partner.
The brand overhaul was officially launched during a recent ceremony held in Shanghai. To adapt to the evolving global energy transition landscape, the company restructures its business system under the unified masterbrand JA, covering four core business segments to realize full-layout development across the green energy industry chain. The four specialized business groups include JA SOLAR focusing on photovoltaic business, JA ESS for energy storage solutions, JA GREEN dedicated to smart energy services, and JA CAPITAL that offers professional financial support.
Liu Shuo, President of JA’s Brand and Marketing Centre, elaborated on the strategic significance of this rebranding. He pointed out that the global energy transition has entered a value-oriented stage closely combined with diversified application scenarios, instead of merely focusing on power price competition. Boasting 21 years of professional accumulation in the solar industry, the company adheres to the core mission of “develop solar power to benefit the planet”.
Liu stated that JA aims to optimize its green energy ecosystem, making stable, affordable and accessible green energy accessible to all industries worldwide, and jointly promote global energy transition alongside industry partners.
Furthermore, the company set clear brand development goals in this upgrade: shifting its development model from simply exporting photovoltaic products to building localized global operational capabilities, and completing the brand upgrade from a Chinese brand going global to a genuine worldwide green energy brand. Moving forward, JA plans to provide one-stop integrated green energy solutions, strengthen technological co-development and expand global markets through in-depth cooperation with cross-industry partners.
