NLC India Renewables Limited Tenders 1500 Acres of Land in Gujarat for Large‑Scale Solar PV Projects

NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a leading Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India, has announced a major land tender via its wholly owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL) to procure 1500 acres of land in Gujarat for the development of utility‑scale solar photovoltaic projects.


Released on May 21, 2026, through domestic competitive bidding, the tender supports NLCIL’s renewable energy expansion strategy in the state.


Under the tender terms, the successful bidder shall arrange government or private land parcels on a leasehold basis. The land requirement is set at 5 acres per MW, with each parcel supporting a minimum project capacity of 100 MW. Sites must lie within 50 km of the nearest GETCO pooling substation and have power connectivity infrastructure of 132 kV or higher.


Scope of work includes land procurement, topographical surveys, site‑enabling facilities, and obtaining all required permits, approvals, clearances and NOCs to deliver ready‑to‑build land for solar deployment.

  • Bid submission deadline: June 23, 2026, 2:30 PM IST (online + physical)
  • Techno‑commercial bid opening: June 23, 2026, 3:00 PM IST
  • Price bid and e‑reverse auction dates will be notified separately for qualified bidders

Bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹91.10 lakh. Registered Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) are exempted from both EMD and tender fees. The selected bidder shall furnish a Contract Performance Bank Guarantee of 0.5% of the final contract value within 30 days of receiving the Letter of Award.
