French independent power producer Qair has secured PLN350 million (approximately US$94 million) in financing from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) to develop a 203 MW portfolio of renewable energy projects in Poland.
Three Projects
The funding will support the construction of three projects:
· An 80 MW solar project in Wierzbica
· A 105 MW solar plant in Grudziądz, located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship
· An 18 MW wind project in Jenkowo, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship
Together, the projects reflect a diversified approach combining solar PV and onshore wind generation.
Construction Timeline
Construction across the portfolio is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with all three projects expected to be commissioned in 2027.
Backed by National and EU Recovery Funds
The financing is being provided through Poland’s Energy Support Fund, a central component of the country’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The initiative is backed by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility, which aims to accelerate the energy transition and strengthen economic recovery across member states.
The investment underscores continued momentum in Poland’s renewable energy sector, as developers leverage public financing mechanisms to scale up clean energy capacity.
