
Argentina’s installed solar capacity climbed to 2,483 MW in 2025, following the addition of approximately 810 MW of new projects during the year, according to data from Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico (CAMMESA).
The 2025 result marks a sharp increase compared with 2024, when the country installed 307 MW of new PV capacity.
Total installed renewable energy capacity in Argentina now stands at 7,879 MW, excluding hydropower plants larger than 50 MW, which account for an additional 9,640 MW.

Solar capacity in Argentina is heavily concentrated in the Cuyo and Northwest (NOA) regions.

Meanwhile, Northwest Argentina (NOA) — including Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero and La Rioja — holds 869 MW of installed solar capacity.
