US-based SolarEdge has begun shipping inverters manufactured in the United States to the United Kingdom, as the company expands the number of European markets served by its US production facilities.

Single-phase residential inverters produced at SolarEdge’s Austin, Texas facility are now being shipped to the UK, Italy, France and the Netherlands. The company added that shipments of commercial and industrial (C&I) products from its Florida facility are expected to begin soon.

Christian Carraro, vice president of Europe strategic accounts and programs and general manager for South Europe at SolarEdge, said the company plans to further localise key component manufacturing in the United States.

“From a production point of view, the plan is that between now and two years all our production of key components will be in the US,” Carraro said.

The US-made inverters destined for the UK market incorporate SolarEdge’s recently launched MultiRange concept, which consolidates multiple power classes into a single inverter unit and part number. For the residential segment, MultiRange will include two models: a single-phase inverter and a three-phase inverter.

Carraro also confirmed that SolarEdge will manufacture its Nexus three-phase residential hybrid inverter in the United States for export to Europe. The company first unveiled its stackable all-in-one residential inverter and modular, clickable battery system in fall 2025.

In addition to inverters, SolarEdge is ramping up battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing capacity in the United States. According to Carraro, approximately one-third of new production lines being expanded in the US will be dedicated to battery manufacturing, although these systems are expected to primarily serve the domestic market.

The move signals SolarEdge’s continued push to strengthen its US manufacturing footprint while maintaining supply to key European markets.
