Grenada Seeks Installers for “Solar for All” Programme

Grenada’s Ministry of Climate Resilience, the Environment and Renewable Energy has launched a call for solar installers to participate in the country’s Solar for All programme.

The programme, which officially launched in November, aims to deploy solar PV systems for households and small agro-processors, with a particular focus on vulnerable and energy-insecure communities.

The Ministry is currently inviting expressions of interest (EOIs) from qualified and experienced solar installation firms. According to the notice, the process is intended to identify and shortlist suitable companies, which may subsequently be invited to take part in restricted tenders or requests for quotations.

Selected installers will be responsible for the supply and installation of grid-tied, off-grid and hybrid solar PV systems ranging from 1 kW to 6 kW. Scope of work will include site assessments, system design, electrical works, mounting structures, commissioning, testing and handover to programme beneficiaries.

Expressions of interest must be submitted electronically by January 30.

According to data from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Grenada’s cumulative installed solar capacity stood at 4 MW at the end of 2024, unchanged since 2020.
