Waaree Energies to Invest $30 Million in Polysilicon Producer United Solar Holding

Waaree Energies has announced that its U.S. manufacturing subsidiary, Waaree Solar Americas, has signed a binding term sheet to invest approximately $30 million in United Solar Holding Inc., a Cayman Islands-based polysilicon producer.

According to the company, the investment will be made through the subscription of around 5.37 million Series B preferred shares in United Solar Holding. The transaction is expected to close by Jan. 31, 2026.

Waaree said the investment represents a strategic move to secure a long-term and fully traceable polysilicon supply chain, supporting the company’s expanding manufacturing footprint in the United States as well as other global markets.

United Solar Holding was incorporated in May 2023 and specializes in the production of high-purity polysilicon, a critical raw material used in solar cells and photovoltaic modules. The company operates a polysilicon manufacturing facility in Oman and maintains corporate operations in both the Cayman Islands and Oman, Waaree added.
