Chinese back-contact (BC) solar module manufacturer Aiko has announced that it has achieved a power conversion efficiency of 24.8% in the commercial mass production of its Comet 3N solar panels, which are designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) photovoltaic applications.

The efficiency result has been independently verified by TÜV Nord in Germany, according to the company.

Aiko said the Comet 3N module is built on its proprietary all-back-contact (ABC) cell technology. The company added that the product has reached a peak module efficiency of 25.05% under laboratory conditions.

In a statement, Aiko noted that several megawatt-scale solar projects using the 24.8% efficient Comet 3N modules are already in commercial operation across China, Southeast Asia, and Europe. These projects, the company said, demonstrate both strong market uptake and stable real-world energy yield performance. No further project details were disclosed.
