Solarwatt, a German manufacturer of photovoltaic modules and solar battery systems, has announced a restructuring plan in response to the current difficulties facing the photovoltaic markets in France and Europe.
As part of this initiative, its French subsidiary, Solarwatt France, filed for a statutory early-warning procedure with the Lyon Commercial Court on December 3, the company said in an official statement.
In French corporate law, an early-warning procedure is a preventive mechanism designed to identify and address financial or operational challenges before they escalate into critical issues.
Solarwatt emphasized that all operations will continue without interruption during the process. Orders, deliveries, after-sales services, and technical support will remain fully functional.
The company added that its network of installers, partners, and end customers can continue to rely on stable product availability and ongoing support from the Solarwatt France team. Solarwatt France currently employs 16 staff members and collaborates with more than 150 partner installers. The company stated that it will keep all stakeholders informed of significant developments throughout the procedure and outline the next steps as they arise.
