Avro Football Club, based in Greater Manchester, has opened a tender seeking a contractor to design, supply, and install a solar-plus-battery storage system at its home ground, Vestacare Stadium in Oldham.

According to the tender specifications, the selected contractor will deliver a full turnkey solution that includes an 80 kW solar PV array and a 40 kW battery storage system. The installation aims to reduce the club’s energy costs and support its broader sustainability goals.

The scope of work covers complete system design, engineering, installation, and integration with the stadium’s existing electrical infrastructure. Contractors will also be responsible for testing, commissioning, and final handover.

Avro FC notes that applicants must demonstrate proven experience with commercial solar installations. The deadline for bid submissions is November 30.
