Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) has announced a new tender for the supply and installation of renewable energy systems featuring solar thermal water heating.
The initiative will see systems deployed across nine public hospitals in northern Jordan, aiming to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs in the healthcare sector.
Under the tender, the selected contractor will be responsible for the design, supply, installation, connection, operation, and maintenance of the solar thermal systems.
According to MEMR, interested bidders can purchase tender documents through the ministry’s official website until October 30. The inquiry period will remain open until November 2, with the submission deadline for bids set for November 6.
Bidders are required to submit their proposals in three separate envelopes — one for the technical offer, one for the financial offer, and a third containing the bid bond, valued at JOD 12,500 (approximately USD 17,631).
This project aligns with Jordan’s broader strategy to expand renewable energy use and reduce reliance on conventional fuels, particularly within public institutions.
