Vietnamese solar manufacturer Boviet Solar has completed the installation of a third production line at its Greenville, North Carolina, PV module facility, adding 1 GW of annual capacity. The site now operates at 3 GW per year, up from 2 GW previously.
The Greenville PV Module Factory (Phase I) began operations in April 2025 and produces Boviet’s Gamma Series™ Monofacial and Vega Series™ Bifacial modules. The new production line enhances the company’s ability to supply domestically made modules to meet rising U.S. demand and support the country’s clean energy transition.
“The addition of a third production line marks another important milestone in our Greenville journey. It further enhances our ability to serve customers with reliable, U.S.-made PV modules while creating high-quality local jobs,” said Marco Marquez, General Manager of Boviet Solar’s Greenville Factory.
In August 2025, Boviet also completed exterior construction of its Phase II PV cell facility in Greenville. Scheduled to begin mass production in 2026, the plant will add 3 GW of annual PV cell capacity, fully matching the expanded module output to create an integrated U.S. solar manufacturing hub.
“With 3 GW of PV module capacity and the upcoming PV cell factory, we are delivering on our promise to expand domestic manufacturing, drive investment into local communities, and accelerate the nation’s renewable energy goals,” said Sienna Cen, President of Boviet Solar USA.
The Greenville investment totals more than $400 million and is expected to create over 1,300 skilled local jobs once both phases are fully operational.
