Fabral, a leader in the metal roofing industry, is expanding its reach with the launch of Fabral Solar, positioning itself at the forefront of the solar sector. This new division enables the company to bring its customer-centric approach and innovative solutions to the growing solar energy market.

As the North American energy landscape evolves, solar power is becoming a significant player. According to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), solar accounted for 64% of all new electricity-generating capacity added to the US grid in 2024, marking a 21% increase from the previous year.

With over 50 years of experience in the metal construction industry, Fabral is now extending its expertise to support solar energy. Fabral Solar co-founder John Cummings emphasized that the new division will utilize the company’s knowledge in steel fabrication and roll-formed products, which are critical for supporting solar modules. Fabral Solar aims to streamline the integration of solar technology into a wide range of structures, serving commercial, residential, agricultural, and emerging business markets.

Fabral Solar is designed as a one-stop shop for solar racking needs, leveraging resources from both Fabral and Flack Global Metals. To kickstart this initiative, the company will install solar panels on its own properties, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability. As the US solar industry continues to expand, Fabral Solar’s entrance contributes to the growing demand for domestic solar solutions.
