GAIL (India) Limite hdesign, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and mainten of17.5 MW (AC) floating solar photovoltaic (PV) grid-connected power to GAIL Pata in Auraiya district, Uttar Pradesh.

The tender, released on Augus, cEPC/LSTK athree-year operation and maintenan period following the successful completion of the Operational Acceptance Test (OAT). Additionally, a Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) for critical equipment will be in place for ten years post-OAT.

Project Scope

The scope of work covers the complete EPC delivery, including:

· Design and engineering

· Supply and installation

· Construction and erection

· Testing and commissioning of the floating solar PV plant

· Development of the associated power evacuation infrastructure

The selected contractor will also provide:

· Three years of O&M services post-OAT

· Ten years of CAMC for major equipment to ensure sustained system performance and reliability

Bidding Details

The tender process follows a two-bid system and will be conducted via e-tendering. Interested bidders can access the bidding documents from August 4 to August 19, 2025 (until 14:00 IST) on the following portals:

A pre-bid meeting will be held virtually on August 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM IST via Microsoft Teams. Additionally, a site visit for interested bidders is scheduled for August 7, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM, with representatives from GAIL and BHEL available for assistance.

The bid submission deadline is August 19, 2025, by 14:00 IST, and the unpriced bids will be opened on August 20, 2025, at 15:00 IST through video conferencing.

Earnest Money Deposit & Contract Timeline

The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for the tender is fixed at ₹77.52 lakhs. Notably, EMD exemption is not applicable for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), as the nature of the contract is categorized as a works contract.

The project timeline includes:

· 12 months for EPC execution from the date of FOA (Fax of Acceptance)

· OAT completion within 1 month (maximum 3 months) after commissioning
