On November 29, the 2024 Photovoltaic Storage and Charging Overseas Seminar and the first preparatory meeting of the Southeast Asia Photovoltaic Storage and Charging Alliance were successfully held in Hefei, Anhui. More than 30 photovoltaic storage and charging companies and alliance members attended to promote the commercial application of the entire photovoltaic storage and charging industry chain, achieve win-win cooperation, and help the industry develop with high quality!

The Southeast Asia Photovoltaic Storage and Charging Alliance was initiated and established by the China New Energy Power Investment and Financing Alliance, Photovoltaic Industry Network and Yingchen New Energy. At the end of June, at the Vietnam New Energy Power Exhibition, I personally felt the high attention paid by domestic enterprises to the Vietnamese market. Guoxuan High-tech, which was present at the time, said that Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam and Thailand are the key directions for Guoxuan High-tech's overseas expansion this year. The overseas expansion strategies of leading enterprises also ensure the correctness of the choice of the Southeast Asian market. Chinese enterprises have already taken great strides abroad! How to better go overseas in groups, exchange advantages, and share resources is the focus of discussion at this seminar.

Although the overseas market does not have the direct manufacturing strength for start-ups, you can start with project development. The first step is to focus on the choice of country. I chose Southeast Asia. Next, I will also carry out some projects in Cambodia. I hope to communicate and learn with seniors in the industry and discuss overseas experience.
Going overseas does not mean going out. It is necessary to form a joint force to do a good job in the project.

Going overseas is quite hot now. Not only the photovoltaic industry, but also environmental protection and manufacturing industries are flocking to overseas. Domestic competition is also overseas competition. Everyone should deeply realize that going overseas does not mean going out. In summary, doing projects overseas is the same as doing projects domestically. It takes a group of people to accomplish one thing. The alliance develops in all directions with the project as the center, which is conducive to the formation of joint forces among alliance members. In the form of meetings, everyone can participate and share more resources to make the project land smoothly!

Affected by the shift of household rental installers to industrial and commercial photovoltaics, the survival space of EPC merchants has become increasingly narrow. Their costs are very low. The original EPC merchants basically have no profit margins, and overseas has become a must. To go overseas, you must first understand the local situation, policies, electricity prices, and some technical requirements for grid connection. The last one is the current development status of the local area, including scale, EPC prices, etc. At present, we have started to register a company in Romania, but before that, many local situations have not been understood. But if you don’t go, you will never know. You may know if you go!
Find the right angle to enter overseas and solve the problem of capital outflow

In terms of the overall political environment, Southeast Asia is relatively friendly, and the cultural proximity also makes them trust the Chinese more. The company currently focuses on outdoor photovoltaic energy storage for overseas villas, and has done more in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, especially in Indonesia, where many islands are off-grid. Now in Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, Africa, including South America, it is no exaggeration to say that about 90% of energy storage is purchased in China.
