On June 19th, PT Trina Mas Agra Indonesia, the Indonesian joint venture manufacturing company of Trina Solar, officially commenced production in Indonesia. Numerous political and business figures from Indonesia and China attended the opening ceremony that day.
TMAI, located in the Kendal Industrial Park, Central Java Province, Indonesia, was jointly invested in and constructed by Trina Solar, Indonesia's state-owned electricity company (PLN), and the Sinar Mas Group.
Utilizing the industry-leading 210 TOPCon PV module technology, the factory has an annual production capacity of 1 GW, making it Indonesia's first integrated PV cell and module manufacturing facility. It not only brings TOPCon products to the local market but has also created 640 high-skilled job opportunities locally.
On the day of the opening ceremony, TMAI signed component supply agreements with customers VENA and GCL for nearly 400 megawatts (MW) across three projects, including Hijaunesia Group A.
Indonesian Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, stated, "TMAI is a crucial pillar for Indonesia's domestic industrial sector. It not only supplies high-tech cell and module technology products but also acts as a catalyst for creating Indonesia's solar ecosystem."
