Indian solar manufacturer INA Solar has announced a strategic collaboration with China-based SC Exact Equipment to establish a high-capacity solar cell production line in India. The companies have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for SC Exact to deliver a 3 GW turnkey solar cell manufacturing line.

This major equipment order supports INA Solar's development of a new integrated manufacturing facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. The planned complex will have significant production capacity, targeting:

4 GW of solar modules annually;3 GW of solar cells annually;54,000 metric tons of aluminum frames annually

Significant progress has already been made, with INA Solar confirming it has secured physical possession of the land for the project.

The project timeline is set, with construction expected to commence in Q1 of the fiscal year 2026. The new 3 GW solar cell line is slated to begin operations by the first half of fiscal year 2027.

This expansion builds upon INA Solar's existing manufacturing base in Rajasthan, where its current facility has a 950 MW capacity. The Rajasthan plant produces both mono PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) and advanced n-type TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) modules.

Concurrently, INA Solar is nearing completion on another significant project: a 3 GW solar module manufacturing line in Jaipur. The company anticipates this Jaipur facility will become operational within the next 4-6 weeks, further increasing its module output capacity ahead of the Madhya Pradesh project launch.
