Waaree Solar Americas, the U.S. subsidiary of Indian solar manufacturer Waaree Energies, has signed a 599MW solar module supply agreement with an undisclosed U.S.-based independent power producer (IPP).
The modules for the project will be manufactured at Waaree’s Brookshire, Texas facility, with deliveries scheduled for 2026. This agreement marks a significant addition to Waaree's growing footprint in the U.S. market.
In the first quarter of FY 2025–2026, Waaree secured over 1.2GW of new U.S. orders, highlighting robust demand for domestically produced solar equipment amid policy incentives and a push for localized supply chains.
To meet this rising demand, Waaree is expanding its Texas module assembly plant by an additional 1.6GW, bringing its total annual nameplate capacity to 3.2GW by the end of 2025. The facility is designed to support utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar projects across the U.S.
This strategic expansion reflects Waaree’s commitment to supporting clean energy deployment in the United States through local manufacturing and long-term partnerships with project developers and IPPs.
