CPECC Signs 1GW Integrated Solar-Plus-Storage Project of Kazakhstan

On May 24th, CPECC and Akimat of Almaty Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan successfully signed an investment cooperation framework agreement for the “Bartogay” 1GW Photovoltaic and BESS Integrated Project in Esik City, Almaty Region, Kazakhstan, in Hangzhou.

The project is jointly developed by CEECATL and XJPEDI, subsidiaries of CPECC, with Arna Company, a regional partner of Kazakhstan, assists in promoting the implementation of the project. 


The project is located in Esik City, Almaty Region, and plans to build a 1GW photovoltaic power station, supporting energy storage systems, booster stations, and transmission lines, aiming to create an efficient, stable and sustainable green energy supply system, and inject strong impetus into the development and construction of Alatau New City, surrounding energy supply, and grid structure optimization.


After the signing of this agreement, the project development body will focus on key links, comprehensively accelerate the fine demonstration of technical solutions, deepen the business cooperation model, and strengthen efficient interaction with local government departments. At the same time, we actively integrate internal and external resources, make every effort to overcome the difficulties in the promotion of the project, and strive to reach an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) as soon as possible to ensure the steady progress of the project.
