May 2025 – JA Solar, one of the most prominent names in the global photovoltaic (PV) industry, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Founded in 2005 with a vision to harness solar power for the betterment of the planet, the company has since become a global leader, playing a critical role in the transition toward clean, sustainable energy.
Over the past two decades, JA Solar has expanded its footprint to more than 178 countries and regions, establishing 16 overseas subsidiaries. As of the first quarter of 2025, JA Solar’s cumulative module shipments have exceeded 280 GW. The company's annual module production capacity has currently exceeded 100 GW. With vertically integrated operations, it maintains wafer and cell production capacities of over 80% and 70%, respectively, underscoring its leadership in scalable, high-efficiency manufacturing.
Innovation has been a cornerstone of JA Solar’s growth. From pioneering PERC technology to its latest generation of n-type Bycium+ cells—achieving mass production efficiencies of up to 27%—the company has consistently set new industry benchmarks. Its DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules, engineered for high power output, reliability, and adaptability, are designed to meet the diverse needs of global energy markets.
